While on a jaunt down Jalan Gasing, this is the vehicle that we almost backed into!

Just look at it: Overloaded – obviously beyond legal limits; bald tyres, rickety. We kept our distance and got closer only to take this shot and quickly vamoosed from there. And we don’t have to tell you it was racing down the long straight, being downhill all the way and veering slightly to give birth to all kinds of hypotheses as to whether intoxicants of any kind were part of the equation…..

You know how the heavy vehicles take advantage of their momentum downhill when they know they will be heaving themselves uphill at a slow pace……. It’s all about how much money can be made in how many trips and hang the safety!!! And the adrenaline rush!

Seriously, shouldn’t somebody be monitoring this kind of hazard to life and limb? Especially when it is soooooooo avoidable. It only takes a split second for someone’s life to take a no-return trip through some ugly terrain, that is if they survive the incident.

I wonder. Who do we call? Any suggestions?
